Seize The Day

I look into his eyes,
As the world stops turning,
It was no surprise,
We are always learning.

But his eyes remain,
So vibrant in my head,
As the words echo in my brain,
Every word he has said.

But I am naught,
Nothing more,
Yet he thought,
I had more in store.

I tried to understand,
Why anyone would want me,
I want to hold his hand,
And open my heart to let him see.

But I cannot,
And I must move on,
I've never met a lot,
And soon I will be gone.

But be not afraid,
Let's seize the day,
So as we fade,
We can say:

"I know that you feel pain,
I hurt as well,
We are one and the same,
And we'll meet in Hell.
